To Ken Nickell,

OK, as you suggested, I went to your site and learned more about your platform. As a result I learned that Shay's comments were right on the money. As one of those Americans that you cite, please do not presume to speak on my behalf.

Must be something in the pineapple juice. Sen. Obama (who was born in Hawaii) proposes to introduce this astoundingly naive scheme to the nation as soon as he is elected. God help us all.

Thanks for voicing your opinion about the Divided We Fail initiative. While you might have deducted that DWF favors a particular political health care strategy, in fact, it is a bipartisan effort to end gridlock in Washington to make health care affordable… not a recommended solution. Our strategy is to raise the voices and opinions of millions of Americans, like yourself, in order to make politicians aware of the need for change when it comes to health care. We believe this issue does not only affect the older generations, but more drastically, the future generations of America. Learn more about our platform at www.dividedwefail.org.

Licensing should NOT be controlled by the government. BUT, it should not be loose either. It should be in private hands. Much like bicycle helmets are certified. People could then choose the level of certification they trust. The certifying companies could then compete. People are so use to such a huge government that they now consider that all public good must come from the government. This hypnotism is a wonderful boon for the employees of the government. Thus, it keeps growing.

I congratulate Massachusetts on her bold experiment. The greater her mistakes, the quicker the rest of us learn. This illustrates how our Federalism protects Americans: keep the central government small, let the states be the laboratory of ideas. If the central government were to make this mistake, the bad consequences would be much larger and due to the inertia of its mammoth bureaucracy, the error would take generations to correct. Massachusetts errors, on the other hand, only hurt Massachusetts while protecting the rest of us. People will stop moving to Massachusetts, businesses will leave and its economy and health care will suffer. Thus we should thank Massachusetts for instructing us in the folly of central planning.
